Join us for a workshop of artistic exploration as we dive into the captivating world of the original textured oil painting known as Impasto. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, this workshop promises to be a palette-knife-filled adventure where colours collide, textures come alive, and landscapes and flowers burst forth from the canvas. What to Expect: Discover the unique technique of impasto, where thick, textured layers of paint create a three-dimensional effect on the canvas. We will paint this specific design, as shown in the picture. In the impasto workshop, repeating the same subject helps you achieve better results. Understand how to mix oil paints to achieve the desired hues for your chosen subject and get a harmonious palette for your painting. Tools and Techniques : Meet your trusty companion—the palette knife! Learn its secrets and how to wield it confidently. Discover various strokes, from gentle blending to bold impasto peaks. Experiment with layering thick paint to build texture. Imagine the rough bark of a tree or the velvety petals of a rose. Explore techniques to evoke movement, depth, and tactile sensations. Our experienced instructor will guide you step by step. Embrace imperfections and let your creativity flow. Remember, impasto is about boldness and expression—there are no mistakes, only happy accidents! Materials Provided: High-quality oil paints, canvas boards, and a variety of palette knives. Aprons (because impasto can get wonderfully messy!). Drink of your choice Take Home Your Masterpiece: At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a textured masterpiece to proudly display or gift.
